Recipe
Whole Wheat Apple Cinnamon Muffins
Makes about 14 muffins
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of oil
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 tablespoon of salt
1 cup of chopped apples without skin
1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
Directions:
In a medium bowl mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Then add milk, sugar, oil, egg, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients well. You can use a hand mixer or a spoon.
Fold in the chopped apple pieces.
Then let the batter rest in the refrigerator for one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Scoop the batter into a muffin pan or muffin cups and fill about ¾ full.
Bake for 30 minutes. You will know that the muffins are done because a toothpick will come out clean.
Take the muffins out of the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes. Enjoy.
