If you’ve ever worried that whole wheat waffles might turn out dense or heavy, you’re not alone. Whole wheat flour absorbs more moisture and can easily create a thick batter — but when done right, it produces waffles that are crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of nutty, rich flavor. These whole wheat waffles are simple, reliable, and perfect for cozy mornings or busy weekdays. Whole wheat baking doesn’t have to mean sacrificing texture — and this recipe proves it.
