Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Waffles

Makes about 12 small waffles

 

Ingredients:

·         1 cup whole wheat flour

·         1 cup of milk

·         1 egg

·         1 tablespoon of baking powder

·         1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)



Directions:

  1. In a large bowl mix all the ingredients until smooth.

  2. Preheat the waffle iron

  3. Grease the waffle iron. Add the batter to the waffle maker and cook per the waffle maker directions.

  4. After the waffles are removed from the waffle maker, let them cool for about 5 minutes.

  5. After the waffles have cooled, you can then put them in a container with a lid to store them in the refrigerator.
