Recipe

One Pan Sausage, Potato and Bean Stew

Ingredients:

·         1 smoked sausage package (12 oz)

·         4 small russet potatoes

·         1 can of beans, not drained, any kind (14-15 oz can)

·         1 can of green peas, drained

·         2 cups of beef broth

·         1/4 tablespoon of pepper

·         1/4 tablespoon of garlic powder

·         1/4 tablespoon of onion powder

Directions:

1.      Wash and cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes with the skin still on. Cut the smoked sausage into small slices.

2.      Put a large pan on the stove and add the beef broth to it.

3.      Set it to medium high heat.

4.      Add the potatoes and cook for about 5 minutes, until the broth begins to boil.

5.      Turn the heat down to medium and add the sliced sausage.

6.      Add pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir everything so that the seasoning mixes well into the broth.

7.      Add the peas and beans. Then stir the pan

8.      Cook until the potatoes are soft and the broth begins to thicken. This will be about 20 minutes after the peas and beans are added.

9.      Turn off the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes to help the broth thicken a little more. Enjoy.
